There are thousands of walleye tournaments that take place across the country every year. In South Dakota, there are often over 200 tournaments alone that will occur across the state. Check out the new Tournament Tracker, which details all the major tournaments we’re paying attention to!

  • October 1-3: World Walleye Championship (MWC), Devils Lake – Devils Lake, North Dakota
  • October 10: Fall Lake Francis Case Walleye Tournament, Lake Francis Case, Chamberlain, South Dakota
  • October 24-25: Nebraska Walleye Series, State Championship, Lake McConaughy – Ogallala, Nebraska

The 2026 South Dakota Governor’s Cup is in the books. After two days of fishing, Beau Schilling and Ben Beadle have gone back-to-back capturing their second South Dakota Governor’s Cup Championship.

The South Dakota Governor’s Cup concluded Sunday, July 19 and at the end of two days of fishing it was Beau Schilling and Ben Beadle on top with 58.02 pounds. Following a historic Day One, which saw Schilling and Beadle bring 33.27 pounds and the largest single day bag in Governor’s Cup history, their second day bag of 24.75 was enough to capture the victory.

Day One of the 2026 South Dakota Governor’s Cup is in the books, and after one day of fishing it’s once again Beau Schilling and Ben Beadle sitting on top the leaderboard with 33.27 pounds, which sets a new single day record for a six-fish bag in the Governor’s Cup.

The 2026 National Walleye Tour event on Lake Oahe was nothing short of a heavy weight fight, with big fish, big waves, and big weather. When the scales settled, it was South Dakota angler Jason Stahl on top.

For the second straight year the hometown father and son team of Coledon and Glenn Eimers captured the victory for the Cedar Shore Resort Walleye Tournament.

The Fishing Crew has announced the 2026 tournament schedule. The season will include staples such as the Cedar Shore Resort Tournament, Sharpe Showdown, and South Dakota Governor’s Cup as well as new events.

The Nebraska Walleye Series will be sponsored by Good Life Proteins, and includes six qualifying events and a championship, with the season spanning from April to October.

The National Walleye Tour has announced the 2026 tournament schedule. The season will feature four qualifying events across three states and a championship event.

The Masters Walleye Circuit, presented by Bass Pro Shops and Cabelas, has announced the 2026 tournament schedule. The season will feature six qualifying events across five states.
