A new tournament is set to take place on Lake Oahe, with the Stockmen’s Livestock Fall Brawl scheduled for September 7-8 out of Spring Creek Recreation Area.
The tournament is open for 60, 2-3 person teams, with a $400 entry per team. The tournament will pay back 80%, plus an additional $5,000 added courtesy of First National Bank in Sioux Falls. Payback will be for the Top 10 teams.
“The inaugural Stockmen’s Livestock Fall Brawl is going to be one to remember,” said Curt Underhill, Tournament Director. “The event is going to offer over 100% payback, thanks to First National Bank in Sioux Falls.”
In addition, the event will also be a National Team Championship (NTC) Qualifier. The 2025 NTC will take place in June on Lake Francis Case out of Pickstown, South Dakota.
“NTC side-pots will be available for both days,” explained Underhill. “Teams must register two of the team members for each side-pot. You must register with the person you wish to fish NTC with.”
One NTC bid will be available for every ten teams registered, which means a full field of 60 teams will give six entries to the NTC per day.
“We want the best anglers in South Dakota to represent the state next year in Pickstown,” concluded Underhill. “The opportunity to send 12 teams through this event, showcase the fall bite on Lake Oahe, and have a really fun weekend overall is something anglers won’t want to miss!”
