The 2026 Stockman’s Livestock Fall Brawl is set for August 29 and 30. This event is hosted by The Fishing Crew and launches out of Spring Creek Recreation Area on Lake Oahe north of Pierre.
“This is a great way to end the season,” said Nick Harrington, Owner of Lip Ripper Fishing. “The event has been moved up this year to accommodate the hunting and other sports that come with the fall season.”
Anglers should expect a classic late summer pattern on the lower end of Lake Oahe, with many quality fish being caught over the past few years.
“Those traditional late summer patterns will usually stick around through the middle of September,” continued Harrington. “Both trolling and livescoping are going to be the top options.”
