The Berkley Money Badger is a loud, aggressive, and versatile bait that has quickly grown in popularity particularly among walleye anglers in the Midwest.

Fish It Like Nick

“The Berkley Money Badger I like to think of as my X factor bait,” says Nick Harrington, Owner of Lip Ripper Fishing. “When I need to switch things up, the Money Badger is my first choice.”

The hybrid body presents a different look than a traditional Berkley Flicker Shad, emulating white bass, crayfish, and other forage species.

“The wide wobble and aggressive action makes for a great switch up from a more classic bait like a Flicker Shad or Shad Rap,” continues Harrington. “If fish are being fickle, the Money Badger is a great different look to give them.”

The aggressive nature of the bait also can help target larger, more aggressive fish as well.

“On walleye factories like Lake Sharpe, I’ve found that increasing the action can help target the larger fish,” elaborates Harrington. “The Money Badger is a great option when I need to increase the quality of my bites.”

The Money Badger can be both trolled or casted, and makes a great option for targeting deeper, mainlake structure.

“When you’re in shallower areas or from shore the Shallow Money Badger is a great choice, but if you’re fishing deeper, more mainlake structure the Money Badger is a good choice,” concludes Harrington. “Whether you need to switch up your look or focus on a piece of deep water structure, the Money Badger is an easy choice.”
