The Lake Area Walleye Club has announced their schedule for the 2025 season.
The 2025 season will feature five one-day qualifier events followed by a two-day championship on Lake Oahe in Gettysburg.
Anglers are required to attend a rules meeting and calcutta at Prime Time Tavern in Madison on May 5 at 5:30 p.m. This will kick off the season that will run through the end of June.
The five qualifying events will be:
- May 7, Dry Lake #2, 4:30-9:00 p.m.;
- May 21, Big Stone Lake, 5:00-9:30 p.m.;
- June 4, Lake Thompson, 5:00-9:30 p.m.;
- June 11, Lake Poinsett, 5:00-9:30 p.m.; and,
- June 30, Bitter Lake, 5:00-9:30 p.m.
The championship will take place August 15-16 on Lake Oahe at Brown’s Lodge in Gettysburg. Fishing hours for these days will be 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
The season will conclude August 30 with an awards banquet, fish fry, and golf outing at Lake Region Golf Club at Lake Poinsett. Tee times begin at 1 p.m. with happy hour at 5 p.m.
