“Josh, my step-father, would build a rod and send my dad, Bob Propst Jr out with it,” explained Propst. “Bob would test with clients and come back with notes for Josh. Josh would also spend a lot of time out there testing his rods to get the perfect set-up.”

The JB Designs Walleye Series Depth Strike Bottom Bouncer rods are 7’6” medium power, moderate fast action, and rated for 8-15 pound line. They are composed of 30 Million Modulus Japanese Toray blanks, feature CRB Elite guides with Zirconia oxide guides, super grade cork, and a American Tackle G2 Wave reel seat.
“What’s truly special about these rods is they are made of Japanese Carbon Fiber, which is a much denser blank than a traditional graphite rod,” details Mason Propst. “Japanese Carbon Fiber is also a superior blank in the rod world, it is known for how light, yet strong, it is compared to its competition.”
