The Fishing Crew today announced the 24 Hours of Ice tournament, which was set to take place February 17-18, has been canceled due to poor ice conditions.

“Due to the deteriorating ice conditions we have made the decision to cancel the 24 Hours of Ice tournament,” said Curt Underhill, Tournament Director. “The safety of our anglers is always the most important factor in these decisions.”

While ice conditions forced the cancellation of this event, the warm weather and open water has created an additional opportunity for the beginning of the season.

“Anglers should stay tuned for information regarding a spring icebreaker boat tournament,” Underhill continued.

There are also still opportunities for anglers to enter additional events hosted by The Fishing Crew.

“Right now the Cedar Shore Resort Tournament is sitting at 83 teams,” said Underhill. “There is also still room to get into the Sharpe Showdown as well.”
