2025 Tournament Results

The 3rd Annual Sharpe Showdown is in the books, and the weekend capper proved to be just as close as the National Walleye Tour (NWT) event that took place the Thursday and Friday before.

The 24th Annual Cedar Shore Resort Walleye Tournament is in the books, and Lake Francis Case showed up in all aspects of the way the reservoir is known for! The tournament featured great numbers of fish, a trophy caliber fish, and one very major wind event!

The first event of the National Walleye Tour season is in the books, and after two days of fishing on Lake Sharpe in Pierre it was Robert Crow who was able to take home the victory! Anchored by a monstrous 21-02 pound bag on Day One, Crow was able to bring just enough to the scales on Day Two to sneak out the victory with a total weight of 26-13 pounds.

National Tournament News
The top two tournament circuits in the walleye fishing world are the National Walleye Tour (NWT) and the Masters Walleye Circuit (MWC)! We’ve got information regarding both of series for anglers who are both interested in fishing against the best, and also following along as they visit the top fisheries across the country!
The National Walleye Tour (NWT) has announced their 2025 schedule. This schedule will include four regular-season events as well as a championship event for the Top-40 qualifiers.
The Masters Walleye Circuit (MWC) has announced their 2025 season schedule. This schedule will include six regular-season events, the 2025 World Walleye Championship for 2024 season qualifiers, and the 2026 World Walleye Championship for the 2025 season qualifiers.
South Dakota Tournament News
South Dakota is home to some of both the best fisheries, and also best anglers, across the country. Whether it’s on massive Lake Oahe, spring on Lake Francis Case, the complex fishery of Bitter Lake, and every other fishery in-between we have you covered to stay on top of events taking place across the state! Follow along with The Fishing Crew, Lake Area Walleye Club, and more!

The Midwest Walleye Challenge will welcome South Dakota for the 2025 event. South Dakota joins five other states: Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Nebraska, and Michigan (after May 15) who will be participating in the 2025 event.
The Fishing Crew has announced their 2025 tournament schedule, which features an event on each of South Dakota’s major Missouri River reservoirs.

The Lake Area Walleye Club has announced their schedule for the 2025 season. The 2025 season will feature five one-day qualifier events followed by a two-day championship on Lake Oahe in Gettysburg.
One of the best trophy walleye fisheries in the country, Lake Oahe, is set to take center stage as summer begins. In the fourth stop of the season, the Masters Walleye Circuit (MWC) will be visiting Mobridge, South Dakota. The event will take place May 30-31, 2025.

The 2025 Bass Pro Shops and Cabela’s National Team Championship (NTC) will take place on Lake Francis Case in Pickstown June 19-21, 2025.

The 2025 South Dakota Governor’s Cup is set for July 19-20. The Governor’s Cup launches out of Spring Creek Recreation Area north of Pierre on to Lake Oahe.
Nebraska Tournament News
Nebraska’s walleye fisheries are special, and whether it’s on Merritt Reservoir, Harlan Reservoir, or of course Big Mac, we’ve got everything you need to know to follow along with the Nebraska Walleye Trail and Nebraska Walleye Association!

The two major walleye fishing circuits in Nebraska, the Nebraska Walleye Trail and Nebraska Walleye Association, have announced their respective schedules for the 2025 season.
The 2024 Lip Ripper Fishing tournament season is complete, and one special highlight of the season included raising awareness for South Dakota’s Casting for Recovery organization.
