The Can-Am Defender for Habitat Raffle successfully raised over $150,000 to support habitat improvements across the state according to the Second Century Habitat Fund and Can-Am. The proceeds of this raffle will support over 2,500 acres of land for grassland habitat programs.
“We’re incredibly proud to see what this collaboration has accomplished,” said Jeremi Doyon-Roch, Director, Global Marketing, Can-Am Off-Road in a press release. “At Can-Am, we believe in giving back to the landscapes that inspire adventure. Helping raise more than $150,000 for habitat preservation is a powerful reminder of what can happen when the outdoor community comes together.”
Can-Am donated a 2025 Defender MAX Limited, custom built for hunters and outdoor enthusiasts, which was the grand prize of the raffle. The raffle began in May and culminated at the South Dakota Governor’s Hunt in Sioux Falls, with the drawing held October 25, 2025.

“This was more than a raffle – it was a statement of shared values,” added Liz Kierl, Executive Director, Second Century Habitat Fund. “Every dollar raised will go directly into improving South Dakota’s grasslands and ensuring that our state’s outdoor heritage continues for generations to come. We’re so grateful for Can-Am’s participation and for everyone involved.”
The lucky winner and who will drive away with the Can-Am Defender Max Limited is Casey Crooks.

Over 2,100 donors purchased approximately 13,200 tickets. Donors from across North America participated in this raffle, which reaffirmed a strong commitment hunters, anglers, and outdoor enthusiasts have towards supporting habitat programs and wildlife management.
