You can easily turn your pheasant hunt into a blast and cast adventure! Take advantage of the shore fishing as the sun comes up or end the day with a relaxing sunset on the water. Wherever you are hunting South Dakota, there is a great fishery not far away!
Find a Fishery
The rolling hills of the Missouri River offers spectacular pheasant hunting opportunities and also is home to spectacular walleye fishing as well! Great shore fishing can be found along the rocky grades in Pierre and Chamberlain while the tailraces of Oahe Dam, Big Bend Dam, and Fort Randall Dam can all produce excellent fishing as well!
The Glacial Lakes region of South Dakota can also offer fantastic walleye fishing, especially from the shore! Small lakes and sloughs dot the landscape, with many full of not only great numbers of walleye, but trophy caliber fish too! Additionally, yellow perch and crappie are present in many of these fisheries as well as Northern pike and white bass!
