Berkley Fishing today announced the release of a new bait, the Shallow Money Badger. The shallow running version of the proven successful Money Badger, the Shallow Money Badger allows bass, walleye, and pike anglers to target shallower depths with an aggressive action and versatile profile.
The unique profile of the Shallow Money Badger emulates both crayfish and baitfish, and couples with a wide wobble to trigger aggressive bites. Whether fish are actively feeding or simply strike out of reaction, the bait can trigger bites throughout the entire day.
The attraction is amplified by a loud rattle chamber that couples with the flash and vibration from the action created by the bait.
“The Shallow Money Badger is a loud, in your face bait,” said Nick Harrington, Owner of Lip Ripper Fishing. “It’s great for attracting fish that are actively feeding, but it can make a fish bite when it isn’t looking to as well.”
The bait can be fished by either casting or trolling. Regardless of the style of presentation, the bait can be fished from slow to fast speeds.
“The Shallow Money Badger is an extremely versatile bait, and whether you’re trolling along the tops of summer weeds, casting for aggressive fall walleye, or fishing along large rocks you’re going to find success,” concluded Harrington. “I was fortunate to fish it on Eagle Lake in August, and it quickly became a confidence bait of mine.”
