The application period is open for the 2025 South Dakota Firearm Deer seasons.
Applications for the Black Hills Deer, Custer Deer, East River Deer, Muzzleloader Deer, Refuge Deer, and West River Deer seasons are due by 8 a.m. Central Time Tuesday, June 17.
Residents are eligible to apply for all six seasons, and nonresidents are eligible to apply for West River Deer, Black Hills Deer, and Refuge Deer.
Hunters may apply for two seasons in the first draw and submit a first and second choice for each season. Special Buck License holders are only eligible to apply for one additional season, as long as the season is not the same as the one they hold their Special Buck license for.
Applications are available online and can be submitted through the Go Outdoors South Dakota licensing system. Again, applications must be submitted by 8 a.m. Central Time Tuesday, June 17.
