The 2025 Bass Pro Shops and Cabela’s National Team Championship (NTC) will take place on Lake Francis Case in Pickstown June 19-21, 2025.

Anglers must qualify for NTC through sanctioned The Walleye Federation events. Anglers qualify in team formats, and 250 teams from the country have the opportunity to compete to be All Americans and ultimately the National Team Champions.

Eligible anglers fish the first two days, with the third and final day for the Top 25 anglers ensuring their status as All Americans.

The last time NTC visited South Dakota was in 2022, when NTC took place on Lake Oahe out of Mobridge

“Mason and I had the privilege to compete in this event, and it truly is the Super Bowl of walleye fishing,” said Nick Harrington, Owner of Lip Ripper Fishing. “It was an extremely special moment to compete in a tournament of this caliber.”

Pickstown is located on the lower end of Lake Francis Case and sits above the Fort Randall Dam. Lake Francis Case is known as a walleye factory, though larger caliber fish are available particularly on the lower end of the reservoir.

Lake Francis Case is certainly an interesting fishery for this event,” stated Harrington. “There’s going to be some quality fish coming across the scale, but finding those perfect slot fish are going to be critical for being an All American.”
