The third annual Casting for Recovery-South Dakota retreat is scheduled to take place September 12-14, 2025 at Outlaw Ranch in Custer.
Casting for Recovery retreats are focused on providing women impacted by breast cancer the opportunity to experience healing through fly fishing, community, and nature. Retreats are free for participants who are selected by application.
Applications are currently available, and must be submitted by July 3, 2025 to be eligible to be selected to participate in the retreat. Applications are open for women impacted by breast cancer, who have not participated in a previous retreat. Selection will take place by a random, blind lottery system within two weeks after the application deadline.
This will be the third annual Casting for Recovery-South Dakota retreat, which began in 2023 in Custer. The 2024 retreat took place in northeast South Dakota, at NeSoDak Camp near Waubay. The 2025 retreat will be returning back to the Black Hills at Outlaw Ranch in Custer.
