The Fishing Crew has announced the 2024 season schedule. The Fishing Crew features a variety of events across along the Missouri River in South Dakota, targeting walleye, northern pike, bass, and through the ice.
The 2024 season will also be the 50th Annual South Dakota Governor’s Cup. This event will take place July 20-21, fishing on Lake Oahe out of Pierre. Following a fantastic fall season in 2023 on Lake Oahe for giant walleyes, the stage is set to have a historic event.
The complete schedule includes:
- February 17-18: 24 Hours of Ice on Lake Sharpe (Lake Sharpe, Pierre)
- April 6-7: Cedar Shore Resort Tournament (Lake Francis Case, Chamberlain)
- April 20: Lake Oahe Pike Masters (Lake Oahe, Pierre)
- April 27-28: Lake Sharpe Showdown (Lake Sharpe, Pierre)
- June 1-2: 3rd Annual South Dakota Governor’s Bass Cup (Lake Oahe, Pierre)
- July 20-21: 50th Annual South Dakota Governor’s Cup (Lake Oahe, Pierre)
“The 50th Annual Governor’s Cup is one that is absolutely circled on the calendar for the coming year,” said Nick Harrington, Owner of Lip Ripper Fishing. “The Governor’s Cup is the crown jewel event for South Dakota every year, but to win the 50th would be even more special.”
Registration for all events hosted by The Fishing Crew begins New Years Eve at midnight. These events are available on a first come, first served basis.
